"Having my DD Form 214 miniaturized on a credit card sized plastic card is genius.  I feel like I have a very special spy card of some sort.  Not only that, but my tiny signature is there which makes this card really spiffy.  And, miniaturization of my DD Form 214 makes it easier to move around from place to place, which reduces the risk of loss through mishandling.  Which, I have a tendency to do with large items.  Also, I like the encrypted data on the backside of my DD Form 214 card.  Very cool!"

PACT Act

    

Here’s a snapshot of the changes the PACT Act will bring for veterans:

  • Expands and extends eligibility for VA health care for veterans with toxic exposures and veterans of the Vietnam, Gulf War, and post-9/11 era
  • Adds more than 20 new presumptive conditions for burn pits and other toxic exposures
  • Adds more presumptive-exposure locations for Agent Orange and radiation
  • Requires VA to provide a toxic exposure screening to every veteran enrolled in VA health care
  • Helps improve research, staff education and treatment related to toxic

Did You Know the long-term side effects of the penicillin G benzathine injection, commonly referred to as the “Peanut Butter shot” in the military, can include: Neurological issues such as headaches, dizziness, and nerve problems; Hematological issues like low blood cell counts; Renal issues which may affect kidney function; Cardiovascular problems including blood clots in the lung; Allergic reactions that can range from mild to severe, including anaphylaxis and Musculoskeletal problems such as muscle weakness that can be sudden and progressing into old age.
