A1:   I had been refered to 3 different record places and none had mine. Then I found this number and called. All i had to do was give my social and they said they had them. I sent in a medical record request form and received a CD of them a few months later. I heard allot of these places shut down during Covid so just call and see. 18885334558 is medical records. Good luck.  (KS)  10/14/20

A2:  Your question does not reveal what type of history you are looking for, ancient, military or family. For those types you can go to the library or even use google. You did not explain what records are missing. Your Social Security Number does give some history regarding your past employment and how much your earned and paid into. Now if you would like some info regarding your past military service. I suggest you contact an Accredited VSO from the VFW, DAV, Am Legion, Am Legion or another Veterans Service Organization. Take a copy of your DD-214 (which has some history of military service) the VSO can assist you in filing a claim, obtaining your service medical records, personnel files to include awards and decorations and/or assisting you in getting a discharge upgraded or change if an error is in your discharge. Now if it is not military in nature  I recommend you go to a good library to research history, seek out your work history from the Social Security Administration and if it is family history try Google, Ancestery or the Mormon Church's vast library.  (GH)  10/14/20
