Q598:  I am 82 year -old veteran. When will I be able to get the COVID-19 vaccine? I live in the Boston area, close to the Bedford MA, VA Hospital. Thank you. The distribution of the normal flu vaccine was handled very efficiently.

A1:  That is a good question. I would hope that your age group would be one of the first to get this vaccine. I am debating about this as I don't get the flu shot. I wish you well.  (GR)  12/4/20

A2:  I emailed my VA doctor and told her that I wanted to be put on the list for the vaccine since I am very high risk. She replied that they have not started a list or anything like that. The VA normally is crisis reaction. VA earlier said that the VA care providers would be getting the first vaccine shots and then high risk veterans. Don't know how they will determine the high risk veterans. Will wait for further guidance.  (DS)  12/4/20
