A1:  Disabled Veteran, Pension, & Survivor Benefits Recipients,

The full working version text of the bill has not been released. It is anticipated that veterans receiving benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs for VA disability benefits, pensions, and survivors? benefits will be treated the same as those receiving SS and SSDI benefits and can qualify for the stimulus payments.

A2:  Yes. Your VA compensation doesn't have any impact on the stimulus distribution. This money is in addition to your normal income so that you will be more able to stimulate the weakening economy.  (CW)  3/26/20

A3:  Yes, the stimulus check is based on your income tax filed in 2018 or 2019 and disability checks are not counted as income.  (TR)  3/26/20

A4:  If we are not working or own a business I dont see us getting a Gov't stimulus check, we didn't lose income why would we get a check? I hope we all do it will help stimulate the economy when we spend it back into the world buying things. I dont know if we qualify to get a check, one short answer I dont really know, but dont think we would get a check.  (JA)  3/26/20

A6:  Yes, you will get the full $1200. Anybody making $75k or less of taxable income will get that amount, if Va disability pension is your only income you actually have a net zero taxable income. Stay well my friend.  (MH)  3/26/20

A7:  The bill has only been passed by the senate. It has to go to the house. It looks like they might be making a deposit to anyone that has a direct deposit set up with the federal goverment for benefits.  (MK)  3/26/20

A8:  Yes, others are right in that we must wait for the bill to be passed by both the senate and the house and signed by the potus. Here's my take. If the stimulus is based on "Income" then that would mean that only W2 or self employment income is the measure excluding disability (federal or State), interest, dividends, passive gains or losses like rental income or investment transactions would or might not be included. In other words, and this is only to set you up for a possible disappointment, if you have a fixed income not based on "earnings" then you might be left out.  (GC)  3/26/20

A9:  Yes you will. You did not earned more than $75,000.  (JC)  3/27/20

A10:  That comp money isn't on a "W-2." It doesn't count. If you make under an amount like one hundred thousand, we should get the money. But will have to wait and see. Nothing is clear.  (CS)  3/28/20

A11:  Will qualify to receive a govt stimulus check ? I am a 100 % disable Vet.  (LH)  3/30/20
