Q200: Twice this year I have had medical emergencies that I have called for an ambulance to deliver me to the nearest hospital. I have sent the bills to Jefferson Barracks for payment. First ambulance bill is from February. Interest charges are accumulating. JB when I call says they are reviewing bills. How can I get payment resolved? Other day I had my daughter drive me to John Cochran in St. Louis. Heart beat was down to 20. Since I can’t get JB to pay my emergency bills that is why did not call for ambulance again. Any advice on resolving payment on my bills? I am a Vietnam vet rated at 100% disability.

A1: I recommend that you look for a medicare advantage plan that has great coverage for emergency room and ambulance coverage and doesn't cost you a thing. I thought they don't cover ambulances. (LJ) 11/29/18
