But if you ask to speak with one of the managers, they might be more willing to negotiate with you to seal the deal. “Use tactics like reviewing recent sales that you missed or upcoming ones that you may qualify for now,” according to consumer and money-saving expert, Andrea Woroch.
Did you know Home Depot’s Special Buy of the Day offers online exclusive deals to save on home improvement projects? They are one-day, online-only deals while supplies last. If you never want to miss a deal, you can sign up to be on the Special Buy of the Day email list. So, if you’re waiting for a hot deal on a new refrigerator or another item, the newsletter is a good place to start.
Did you know Home Depot’s website has an overstock page that features a variety of deals missed by most consumers? Check often, you may find a really good deal on an item you want or need.
Did you know Home Depot has a price-matching guarantee? If you find a lower price on an identical in-stock item at a local competitor’s store, Home Depot will match the price. You’ll need to take a competitor’s ad or a photo of the item and price to the store to get the match. Home Depot won’t give you a price match on special orders, volume discounts, labor and installation, sales tax, rebates or free offers. Also, the price match doesn’t apply to third-party or discount sites. The price match doesn’t apply to seasonal, clearance or discontinued merchandise.
Did you know you can find home improvement deals throughout Home Depot? You often can find clearance items and price markdowns on end caps in the store, so it’s good to actively look as you walk the aisles. If you’re shopping for paint, you also don’t want to miss the aisle with the “oops” paint rack. You can find big discounts on paints that are either the wrong tint or were not the color the customer requested. Sometimes these areas are in obscure sections, so if you can find it just ask a sales associate.
Hearing Loss
Did you know hearing loss as part of your disability must interfere with at least one significant life activity, such as working, communicating with others, seeing, and following directions? When your hearing loss is caused by an injury or illness incurred or aggravated in the line of duty, you may qualify for disability compensation through the VA. Also, if you have hearing loss due to age or noise-induced hearing loss, you may be eligible for compensation if: the VA finds that your hearing problem impacts how well you can hear; the VA doesn’t find any other reason for your hearing problem; you’ve been treated for your hearing problem for more than one year, and your claim has been pending for at least 12 months. One should also remember that if the hearing loss does not interfere with any other major life activity, it will not qualify as a compensable condition under the VA statute. This is unless it has been documented by a qualified medical professional such as an audiologist or otologist who has recorded specific findings based on objective testing procedures such as audiograms.
Free For Veterans
Did you know burial in a national cemetery is free to all eligible veterans? Also, some spouses and some dependent children may also be eligible. Burial benefits available include a gravesite in any of the 150 national cemeteries with available space, opening and closing of the grave, perpetual care, a Government headstone or marker, a burial flag, and a Presidential Memorial Certificate, at no cost to the family. Some veterans may also be eligible for burial allowances. Cremated remains are buried or inurned in national cemeteries in the same manner and with the same honors as casketed remains.
Commissary Privileges

Vet Center Services
Did you know Vet Center services may be provided to family members of veterans and active duty service members for military related issues when it can aid in the readjustment of those that have served? There is also bereavement counseling for families who experience an active duty death. Vet Center services are completely confidential to those who utilize their services.
VA Overseas Service Coordinator
Did you know veterans living overseas can get help receiving their VA benefits directly from the VA through a special program. The Department of Veterans Affairs Overseas Military Service Coordinator (OMSC) program offers specialized assistance to veterans living overseas, with either in-person or virtual assistance. The virtual assistance program is in addition to the in-person assistance offered at Landstuhl Air Force Base, Germany, and Camp Humphreys, South Korea.
Special SSA Credit
Did you know veterans earn special social security credits for service from 1957 through 1977? Veterans in this era qualify for an additional $300 in earnings credits for each calendar quarter in which they received active duty pay. Thus, veterans who were on active duty for an entire year would receive $1,200 in earnings credits for the year. As with all additional veterans’ credits, this amount is added to your earnings record for the purpose of calculating your benefits and is not added to the actual benefit amount itself.
Veterans Act & PTSD
Did you know if you have PTSD from your military service, it could be possible to make a claim under the Veterans Act based on your mental health condition and its impact on your life? In severe cases, PTSD will affect a veteran’s ability to work, have a social life and lead an active life. As such, PTSD can be considered a service-connected injury under the VA Act if it was caused by military service. This means that if you have PTSD as a result of military service, then it could be possible to make a compensation claim. The assistance of experienced Veterans Service Officer (VSO) or disability lawyer can potentially make the difference in making an accurate determination as to your eligibility for VA disability benefits.
Benefits For Surgery
Did you know if you have been diagnosed with arthritis in your knee joint, benefits may be awarded to cover the cost of knee surgery and rehabilitation? If you suffer from this disability, you may not be able to bend your knee past 90 degrees without experiencing pain and discomfort in the knee joint. An example of this type of disability would be arthritis or osteoporosis, which could cause deterioration of cartilage tissue in your knee joint, causing it to become inflamed when bent. This condition can result in pain and swelling when you push off with your foot and extend your knee fully. Limitation of flexion may also cause problems when walking because it limits your ability to pivot at the knee joint.
