If you are a veteran of the United States Armed Forces and you believe you have a physical illness, mental illness or experienced trauma related to combat, use this web site to apply for benefits.

Please read the following information before you proceed with your claim application.

IMPORTANT

Use Apply For Benefits to file a new benefits claim for service-connected compensation.

 

If you have an existing claim with a Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Service Officer (VSO), Disabled American Veterans (DAV) or other representatives, you can still request compensation benefits using our system and an Independent Claims Processor (ICP).  We work harder, smarter, and more efficient for you.
   

COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS

You must use the "START" button at the bottom of this page to begin your application.  DO NOT use the browser "Back" button while using this application.  Your claim application is not complete until you submit the information.  Your data will not be saved if you logoff before submitting your information.

   

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

You will need the following information to complete your claim application:

  • Social Security Number
  • DD Form 214
  • Dates of Military Service
  • Branch of Service
  • Combat Era
   

USING A PUBLIC COMPUTER

If you are using a computer in a public place, LOGOFF or close the browser when you are finished entering information.  This is for your protection and will prevent someone else from viewing your claim information.

   

PRIVACY

All information collected will be entered into electronic forms on this site.  Once you complete the application process your information will be sent Electronic Secure Service (ESS) to an IPC representative in your area.
